Crossing the United States coast to coast with a Stearman biplane took three days and 14 fuel stops.
When performing aerobatics, Stearman aircraft can perform maneuvers that generate a force six times greater than the acceleration of Earth’s gravity. This means a 185-pound pilot would feel as though he weighs more than 1,100 pounds.
The Red Baron^® Pizza Squadron has given rides to more than 80,000 passengers since 1979. This is six times the population of Marshall, Minnesota.
More than 8,500 Stearman biplanes were built during World War II to train allied aviators. More pilots have learned how to fly in this airplane than any other aircraft in history.
